    Most of the information staff handle falls into one of the following categories:

    • personal details of both students and staff (addresses, phone numbers);

    • academic information (marks, reports, assessments);

    • personal information (information from deans, counsellors, SLT, nurse)

    • professional information about staff (appraisal material, observations notes of lessons etc.)

    All of these would be covered by the provisions of the Privacy Act.
